85-90% of all doctors’ visits are stress-related and a very high percentage of the population is inflamed. Morning rituals are the perfect way to reduce stress, lessen inflammation, heal your body and mind, and to connect to your spirit. By Bookending, you Create your day mindfully, for peace, purpose and to reduce inflammation.
The way you begin the morning will set the tone and intention
for the day to come.
If you create your morning mindfully with peace, purpose and to reduce inflammation you will find your level of happiness, health, and productivity will be significantly higher.
First things first. You may need to get up earlier than usual but it will be well worth it. ;))
Begin by drinking a glass of room temperature water, followed by a cup of warm (not hot!) lemon water. Now make a pot of tea or coffee. While that steeps/brews, sit for 15 or so minutes and meditate, simply focus on your breath. No Apps required, but a candle is nice and incense too if you enjoy it. This is a valuable time for you to connect with your heart, and it gives the lemon water a chance to act as a mini-cleanse.
Sit down with your warm cup of tea or coffee and do your joy journalling. Include some joys and sprinkle in some gratitude too. Next, write out 3 goals for the day.
There’s something magical about journalling by candlelight.
If you practice qigong, this is the perfect time to do one or two of the moving exercises, more if you have time. Otherwise, a few gentle stretches are perfect.
Now you’re set.
You have created a magical morning ritual!
This can go one strong step further.
Bookending is great way to anchor your day with balance and peace and to reduce stress and inflammation too.
The first Bookend is placed with your morning rituals, you have established balance and support for your day, reduced stress, and benefitted from a mini cleanse with the lemon water.
The second bookend is placed, if you give yourself some time at the end of the day, sit quietly reflect, do some qigong or meditate.
The Bookends serve as supports for whatever else happens in between them, your daily activities.
Make every day a joyful, mindful, and meaningful experience, for peace, healing and to reduce inflammation and chronic pain, too.
