Considering the whole physical, mental/emotional, spiritual, component of health, it can be overwhelming and our response to overwhelm is to do nothing because really you don’t know what to do or where to even start.
As I write this I am in the process of preparing a 10 step course to transform pain. We are multi-dimensional and an imbalance on one level can lead to symptoms on any level and these can lead to a disease state. So the imbalance or blockage needs to be addressed and then the symptoms disappear and healing occurs.
This is the goal with all healing, addressing the root cause.
So as I write the 10 steps I find I have so much to say and so much valuable information to share with you that I am spinning my wheels. My brainstorming lost keeps growing. I know I will gain clarity on what is most important to share with you, I am sorting and sifting, and holding space for clarity at the moment, and writing this is a comfortable diversion.
If you’re suffering from pain and exhaustion you may feel so overwhelmed and afraid that you can’t imagine how a simple 5 – 10 minutes of breathwork, qigong or meditation could help.
Your body and mind may be so agitated and overwhelmed with worry and anxiety that you find it tough to slow down enough to sit and meditate. Mindfulness, meditation, and qigong really help.
I’ve been a meditator since 1970, and I know that taking the time to sit quietly in meditation or doing some qigong movements really help to put things in perspective and they relieve stress which is really important.
But how can you manage to do it if you are feeling overwhelmed, lost and hopeless?
So by doing just a bit every day will make a big difference and you will find the stress and anxiety subside and as your system settles down you will feel relief and ease and you will begin to take control.
Writing this today feel emotional remembering just how hard it was to be caught in the vortex of pain, overwhelm and panic. However, I did experience relief, in my body, my mind, my heart, and my soul. I saw a window of hope, an opportunity and I took a deep breath.
Then I began to notice changes. The more steps I took to rebalance, the more my entire system was able to take a pause, and the more balance was returning, I was able to feel hope, just a glimmer at first, but each day things got clearer. When my mind and heart were shifting, so was my pain. I began to experience times when I actually felt free from the cycle of pain and depression, and my headaches were no longer constant.
Today I will talk about one simple and effective practice that beings peace, ease, and healing as you reduce stress, improve blood pressure and blood sugar as well as whatever ails you. Qigong is one practice you can do to self-heal and restore happiness and joy into your life.
